Emergency Preparedness - [Back]
Family TIES of Massachusetts continues to collaborate with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to share information with families of children with special health care needs and the professionals who work with these families, in an effort to assure that individual family plans are developed.
For the past several years, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Center for Community Health, Division for Perinatal, Early Childhood and Special Health Needs has been working to develop strategies and materials to support families whose children have complex special health needs. There are three tiers of planning: (1) Basic preparation for families; (2) Engaging caregivers, family, and friends; and (3) Identify community resources.
