Down Syndrome
The Berkshire County Arc Down Syndrome Family Group is comprised of over 40 families throughout Berkshire County, working to advocate for and educate the public about Down syndrome and people with disabilities. Members of the group offer support to one another through natural bonds, formed from having a child with Down syndrome, and also by helping families to access supports through local and state agencies, hosting an annual Buddy Walk of the Berkshires, sponsoring speakers on all areas of Down syndrome, and by socializing at fun family events!

Chromosome 22 Disorders
Chromosome 22 Central is a parent-run support organization. They started in 1997 with just a handful of families who had children with what is now known as Emanuel Syndrome and now supports over 2000 families in all corners of the world, who have many different chromosome 22 disorders. The group provides information, message board, chat room, and listserv, as well as information about the biannual national conference.

Down Syndrome
Down syndrome Group: Monthly meetings are held at the Seven Hills Family Support Center, Fitchburg. Join us for special topics each month relating to the diagnosis of Down Syndrome. All ages are welcome.

Fragile X
Fragile X LINKS Group hosts social and educational events, Parent Nights Out, and occasional conferences, as well as summer family get-togethers. Contact us to learn more.

Sickle Cell Disease
Family Support Group meets periodically at the SCDAA office, 1803 Dorchester Avenue, 2nd Floor, Dorchester. Call for schedule and supports. Please call for details and register

Diabetes
Groups meet monthly to discuss a variety of topics. Please call for dates, times and locations. Also hosts periodic coffee hours (September to June) in various locations. Call to be added to the mailing list for the schedule for upcoming events.

MDSC works to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome through the education and support of people with Down syndrome, their families, friends, teachers, and the community as a whole. Call or visit our website for more information.

Down Syndrome
Families of all ages with Down Syndrome and expectant families are warmly invited to join us for an informal get-together. Caregivers, Grandparents, & Siblings are all welcome. Second Wednesday of each Month, 5 pm – 7 pm.

Prader Willi Syndrome
Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of New England: Provides information and support, quarterly parent support groups, family recreation events, conferences every other year, parent to parent support, and informational newsletter. Call for details.

Rett Syndrome
The Rett Syndrome Association hosts events, support groups and programs available throughout the year. Please check the website for upcoming events or call for more information. Group typically meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at ARC of Massachusetts, Waltham.

Small for Gestational Age
Offers online support for families of kids affected with Russell Silver Syndrome. Go to Yahoo, click on groups and search for “rss-support,” and follow the instructions to join. RSS-Support-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Sanfilippo Syndrome
Meetings occur bi-monthly. Call for details about meeting format and location. All families are welcome.

Spina Bifida
The Spina Bifida Association serves individuals living with Spina Bifida along with their families and caregivers located in MA, NH, VT, and ME. Programs and services have included Education Days, Financial Benefits, Social Events, Get Active, and Outreach with newsletters social media. Call for support and to learn about upcoming activities.

Tuberous Sclerosis
Offers resources and referrals to help individuals living with Tuberous Sclerosis and their families. The TS Alliance of New England is a group of TSC individuals, families, healthcare providers, board members, and volunteers. This group is led by volunteer leadership dedicated to furthering the mission of the TS Alliance in their local state(s) or region by dedicating themselves to finding a cure for TSC and improving the lives of those affected.
