Providing Support to Grieving Children and Their Families, Rick’s Place children and teen support groups (ages 5-18) meet every other Tuesday evening at 6:30PM in Wilbraham. All group services are free of charge. A designated caregiver is required to attend with the child/teen. Groups are divided by age, with four separate groups meeting concurrently. In each group, facilitators include games, activities, and crafts to facilitate expression of feelings about grief and bereavement. Group participants are encouraged to commemorate and remember special people in their lives who have died. There is an intake process for joining the group and new members are welcomed in September and January. We have a new early childhood (3-5 yrs.) group that meets one time each month.
